Maui Girl started back in 1970 creating women's swimsuits. These swimsuits were well liked and known throughout the island, they were even featured on Sport Illustrated.
Yet, people who weren't local, weren't familiar with the brand.
This rebrand is to bring Maui Girl into the modern world creating a dynamic and memorable logo so locals, online and visitors can remember the name.
After many edits, this ended up becoming our finalized logo. The Icon is a local bird to Maui and is commonly trolling the beaches or walking on the bushes. The long elegant legs and always by the water is fitting for the Maui Girl the company is trying to reach.
in the horizontal version of the logo, the bird sits above the type as I wanted the legs to feel apart of the type and also show how the bird is typically walking on bushes and
above the skyline.
On the right, I wanted to include a flat logo which still has some detail to the bird.
